Get to Know Foundation 65

Interim Superintendent Eric Witherspoon is encouraging the D65 community to connect with Foundation 65, an independent, grassroots organization that provides educators with resources to bring their ideas to life. Since 2019, the Foundation has funded more than 150 educator grants, including the Black Girl Magic Book Club, which gave girls a space to discover books featuring characters who look like them. Witherspoon noted that one participant described the club as a "safe space where you can express your feelings."
